Lynne Booth (B.Pharm)

Picture of Lynne Booth who is a Director of The Medicine Chest PharmacyLynne obtained a B.Pharm (with Pharmacology distinction) degree from Rhodes University in Grahamstown.
Upon completion of her degree Lynne took up a position with the Railways Medical Fund in Bulawayo where she worked for 4 years. Lynne was briefly with Standard Pharmacy in Bulawayo and then was occupied doing locums in Victoria Falls and in Bulawayo. She then joined the Avenues clinic for a few years in 1979 and joined Lyn Terry at The Medicine Chest in 1991 some 21 years ago.
At university Lynne was active in the Pharmacy Students Society and attended several local conferences as a representative of Rhodes Pharmacy Students.
Once qualified Lynne became active in the local Bulawayo branch of the Pharmacy Society and became the local chairman. As the local chairman she was the Matebeleland representative on the National Pharmacy Board for a year.
When Lynne came to live in Harare she became the secretary of the Retail Pharmacy Association for a number of years. Lynne continues to be a member of the local branch of the society and still attend meetings for the Retail Pharmacy Association.
Regularly Lynne attends continuing education lectures locally and completes a correspondence course for further professional development every year. Lynne also maintains registration as a South Africa pharmacist.
